Yankee's Ballgame
Today was a class day. I thought about grabbing breakfast, but I woke up later than expected, so I decided to skip it. I didn't know what kind of class it would be, but it was in a different location than last time. Last time it was in a computer lab, but today it was just a regular classroom. We had a lesson on simple English vocabulary and expressions, and since we were going to a Yankees baseball game at 3:30 PM, we also got a briefing about that. Actually, I meant to eat lunch too, but I ended up skipping that as well. I wasn't feeling that great physically or emotionally, so I just wanted to rest. Some people might wonder why someone wouldn't eat when they're sick and in a bad mood. But for me, it's the opposite—when I lose my appetite and don't feel like doing anything, I just don't eat. I shouldn't do that, though. It's a real problem. It's a habit I need to fix someday.
Also, they handed out tickets during class, but everyone was having a hard time registering because they didn't have Ticketmaster accounts. In my case, I had already set everything up beforehand—even linking my Face ID—because I booked tickets for The Cab's concert yesterday, but the others hadn't. Anyway, I was the first to get my ticket registered, and it took over an hour to get it sorted out for everyone else. The teacher in charge really went through a lot of trouble. I think they're amazing.
The Yankee Stadium
Meal at Yankee Stadium
In the afternoon, we took a limo bus and arrived at Yankee Stadium. I haven't watched a baseball game in a long time. Back in middle school, I went to a game after getting a free ticket through a cheerleading volunteer program, and that was my first and last time. Is it a coincidence that I ended up watching my second-ever game at Yankee Stadium? Back then, I didn't know much about baseball and didn't really care about it either. To be honest, it's still the same now. Lol. But the situation was way better this time around. I had my friends with me, and the level of baseball in the US is completely different from Korea. And seeing it in person, it was absolutely incredible. Actually, the New York Yankees' game result was pretty dismal. They lost 8 to 3. The others were saying that the Yankees aren't normally like this, but they just played exceptionally poorly today. Still, it was an awesome experience. I realized that the scale of the stadium is no joke, and I got to experience the unique baseball culture here. I don't really have a favorite sport, but I think I might end up liking baseball. It's not so much that the game itself is fun, but rather I just love hanging out with people and getting caught up in the vibe.
To be honest, I was feeling pretty down because of what happened yesterday, but I think I need to shake it off a bit. I came all the way to the States; I can't just be moping around in a bad mood. I always thought I was good at socializing and getting along with people, but maybe that's not the case. I felt that even more while talking with my roommate. Honestly, I don't know exactly what to do, but I'm going to try to improve in my own way. If not for myself, then for the people around me... Honestly, I think I'll be falling asleep with a lot on my mind tonight.
